All you need to make your very own indigo dye

Ingredients:
· 50g Indigo Dye Powder (Plant Derived)
· 100g Ferrous (II) Sulfate Heptahydrate
· 150g Calcium Hydroxide
· 50g Citric Acid
· 5 Gallons of water
Supplies:
· Kitchen Scale
· 5 Gallon Bucket with tight lid
· Empty plastic water bottle
· Around 20 marbles
· Stirring stick or spoon
· Respirator
· Rubber Gloves
Instructions:
1. Measure out all needed ingredients
2. Put indigo powder into the empty water bottle and add in marbles. Add just enough water to cover the indigo.
3. Shake for 2 minutes
4. Boil 1 gallon of water on the stove
5. Pour the boiling water into the empty 5 gallon bucket and immediately add in your Ferrous Sulfate
6. Stir until fully dissolved
7. Add in the Calcium Hydroxide and mix until fully dissolved
8. Gently pour the indigo from the water bottle into the bucket being careful to remove the marbles
9. Add more fresh water into the bottle and shake the bottle to rinse out the rest of the contents and add them to the bucket
10. Blend the contents of the bucket being careful that you don’t splash any liquid out, it is best to stir in one direction
11. Add hot water to your bucket until it is a few inches from the top
12. The bucket is now ready to dye
